Working up the mast on one of the South Georgia whale catchers
Some of Norman’s photographs taken in the 1950s. They include whale catchers, factory ships, harpooned whales, the church at Grytviken with a lady who had a child in South Georgia, some of Norman’s workmates, and a photograph of the cemetery in Leith Harbour.
There is also a picture of a ship in a bottle, “Joan”, that Norman made for my wife.
